Who We Are

The EMS Road Docs of Illinois, Inc. is both federally and in Illinois, a registered 501(c)3 Not for Profit corporation. We are a sovereign organization in the state of Illinois.

EMS Road Docs of Illinois is made up of primarily two classes of members. Our Professional Members are those who have or do work in the Emergency Medical Services field or who are or have been licensed as a medical professional by a recognized credentialing board. Our Certified Members are all trained First Responders.

In short, we support our communities and their assets. Each year we provide trained medical First Responders and EMS Professionals to many dozens of charity events. That long list includes Motorcycle Charity rides like the Illinois Governor’s Veteran’s Ride, the Illinois State Police Memorial Park Fun Run, and Chicagoland Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade amongst many others. We also wholeheartedly support our active and veteran men and women in uniform and work with numerous veteran related organizations in the local area as well as host an annual BBQ for our veterans at the Hines VA Hospital.

In addition to the above, we are a ready resource for communities in need after disaster has struck. Numerous of our members are trained in various Emergency Management skills and have responded to localities following a disaster event. In an emergency, natural disaster, or public health incident, volunteers with the right training are invaluable resources during these times of crisis and our members are both trained and prepared to respond to such events.

In order to fill the needs just mentioned we are very strong advocates for training in advance of the need for those skills. In this respect we provide numerous nationally recognized training courses throughout the year. Most notable of these are the American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR/AED class and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons First Responder-First Aid class. We also act as an access facilitator to other related educational opportunities.

While we are made up of a large number of motorcycle enthusiasts, many of our events do not require being a motorcycle rider nor is that a requirement for membership in our organization.

We are color blind, gender blind, and blind to most other factors that too often divide Americans. We foster fellowship, camaraderie, and cooperation.  We seek to bring Americans together in service to others in need and there is no place for any kind of discrimination amongst us.

We are Americans who believe in ‘Paying it Forward’ and ‘Giving Back’ to our communities and fellow countrymen. We want to bring the finest America has to offer together in friendship and service. Our members are honest, hardworking, good people and that is the type of people we want to ride and associate with.  All like minded persons are welcome to join our organization.

We are… Great Folks, Doing Great Things!
